If the manual is the one that came with your chain saw, the copyright year should be the year your saw was manufactured. For the 1985 manual, the copyright is found on the cover and on the bottom of page 1. It is stated as the word “copyright” or the copyright symbol of a “c” with a circle around it followed by the year.
